Important Information About The Upcoming Training Session in California

Dear National Referees and National Referee Candidates:

Please note this important information about the upcoming training session in California:

For everyone attending session 1, January 24-27, 2008:

Corporate Coach Charters will be providing the bus service from LAX to the Marriott Torrance hotel on January 24. Please go to the area outside of the baggage claim area and look for a green sign that says "Long Distance Buses and Vans" - this is where you will be picked up. The buses will begin pick ups at 10:10 a.m. One bus will go to terminal 1 and then proceed to the remaining terminals. The second bus will arrive at terminal 1 at 11:00 a.m. and proceed to the remaining terminals. The third bus will arrive at terminal 1 at noon and proceed to the remaining terminals. Bus 1 will come back to the airport at 12:45 and start at terminal 1 again. Bus 2 will follow at 1:40 p.m and bus 3 at 2:45 p.m. Those buses will make another round at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Please keep in mind that traffic may make them a few minutes late. At the same time, please try to arrive at the pick up area a few minutes before they are scheduled to arrive.

If you are coming in late due to flight delays, or had a flight change, you can call Corporate Coach at 800-452-2622 to let them know. Please be sure to mention that you are with the U.S. Soccer Federation. There will be no U.S. Soccer representatives at the airport this year.

After you check into the hotel, go to the U.S. Soccer Referee office in Salon A to pick up the schedule and material you need for the running test. The office will open at 2:00 p.m. You will receive a polo shirt
at that time. You will be expected to be in that shirt for the evening session on Thursday. That session begins at 7:00 p.m. Official Sports International will be set up in Salon B, beginning at 12 noon. They will have a gift for you, so stop in to visit them before or after you pick up your material at our office.

We look forward to seeing you there.
